  Although Well announced the Honda Civic Type-R FD2 with full opening features way back in 2022, the actual release date was a big mystery and I didn't even know that the model came out in September 2023. While I tried acquiring one in many places, I chanced upon SAModelCar.com and placed an order. The car model was delivered on time. The model reached safe and sound with great packaging that made sure the contents were not damaged one bit. The price is a bit on the higher side compared to other websites but they compensated that with reduced shipping charges. I'll be glad to purchase again on this website.

  Nice model with some nifty features like opening front console and folding rear seats. That said for the price, the barely working suspension and overall wheel execution are disapponting: the disc brakes rarely turn along with the wheels and the front wheels are noticeably converging (instead of parallel) making them catch on the fenders constantly. Not helping either is that the windows are tinted so dark as to make the already monotone interior even bleaker and hard to enjoy (mind you it is wonderfully detailed and luxuriously carpeted, but hard to see).

  Marvelous model with not so common opening features like the fuel door and even separately opening rear hath glass. Also lovely beige interior making it easy to see all the detail present. Only real downside is somewhat looser rear wheels (hard to remove glue from stickers keeping opening parts shut for transport and limited wheel suspension are merely small annoyances).

  Unexpectedly detailed model with even opening fuel cap and passenger compartment and a moving driveshaft (connected with rear wheels), sadly there are small white traces of glue almost all over the model (as disclosed by the seller in the description - cannot fault him) and the parts joining aren't all perfect. That said, for the price, a great large model with very well articulated suspension.

  Exquisite paint, great detail and interior not as dark as one might expect. The beige/yellow inserst lighten it up a lot. Working suspension is surprisingly compliant for an Almost real model. All in all expensive, but worth it.

  Solid model with wonderful seat functions (front seats slide back and forth, second row seats fold flat and also completely forward, third row seats fold and can also be fully removed) and without any obvious oversights. Detailling could be slightly better in the engine bay and perhaps even the interior, but otherwise all typical features and functions are present (folding mirrors, working suspension even an opening fuel door).

  Very detailed model with many functions (some unexpected like an opening glove box and folding rear seats) above and over the usual full open, working suspension models. Those advantages are however slightly let down by the quaity control where an occasional scratch shows up or glue marks are left on a wheel or still an edge of a trim being broken off. These are however small blemishes only noticeable under heavy scrutiny.

  Nice solid model with finely working suspension and pretty detailed interior. Sadly probably due to the age of the model, the paint isn't the best in places with rashes, dents and other imperfections. Unlike in most of the product photos, the engine detail actually corresponds to a hybrid model and not the base gas model. Also it feels like the color is slightly more blue metallic than the almost purple of many shots on the web. Both a win in my opinion.

  Lovely model with plenty features (movable front seats, lifting cargo floor with, foding mirrors, opening sunroof) and impeccable paint. Very heavy model, which slightly impacts the suspension with some softer plastic pieces. Similarly some of the interior pieces are somewhat loose (movable seats). However for the price, the model is astonishing.

  Very nice model with some unexpected functions (sunroof opens by sliding in, drive shaft connected and turning along with rear wheels). Very nicely packaged. Unfortunately, there is some paint rash on some spots probably due to the age of the model (seems it was the last in stock as well).

  Gorgeous model. Perfect paint quality, lovely detail, intricate hinge mechanisms on hood and trunk. And as usual, very careful packaging by the seller. The only downside is the very stiff and limited suspension (which is working, despite what some reviews say). I guess the price is there for a reason.

  Incredibly detailed model with impressive functions. Immaculate exterior, satisfying suspension on all 4 wheels, opening fuel cap and most importantly fully folding two rearmost rows of seats. The only thing missing from perfection is the absence of reproduced gas struts for the engine and luggage compartments. A most recommended model.
