This McLaren is more detailed than I anticipated. The engine bay is wonderful once you remove the (magnet held) detachabe panel, somehow even rivalling the Pagani modes by LCD.
Suspension is soft and ample on all 4 wheels.
The butterfly doors (I think that's what they are, not scissor doors like on a Lambo nor dihedral like on Koenigseggs nor even gullwing ones like on an SLS or coupe Pagani Huayra) open wide up and stay upright without issue. Unexpected detail, even the fuel cap door opens.
And the biggest and most pleasant surprise to me, the yellow model I got has metallic paint, not just flat yellow. And it is a great paint all over the model, same as the carbon fiber is pretty convincing.
The interior is also lovely and detailed, most of it (including the small front trunk) covered with alcantara like material similar but not quite ike carpeting on most models.
Definitely recommend this model.
